The Rotterdam Architecture Month was kicked off with a festive and successful opening day. The Podium and the RA Month main exhibition (T)Huis were opened and we listened to a wonderful lecture and thinking exercise by Ninke Happel of Happel Cornelissen Verhoeven Architecten. What if time is attention? Mayor Aboutaleb opened RA Month and then engaged in a conversation with Rijksadviseur voor de fysieke leefomgeving Wouter Veldhuis. What spatial challenges do we face? Wiegert Ambagts, founder of Namelok, designed with his team the RA Month Main Exhibition (T)Huis (House/Home). He posed the question: what don’t we see when we look at the skyline? What happens in the spaces in between, the lives lived on eye-level?
